"Valerie is the model of a good entrepreneur.  She is that rare combination of someone with good business sense, creative thinking, ambition, focus and lots of positive energy.  She throws herself into new projects and designing new products.  She develops fresh marketing strategies and never stops thinking of contemporary ideas or how to improve on existing programs.  She is busy with her boutique, but still takes the time to give back to the community. 

I first met Valerie at Community Helping Schools, one of the charity boards with which I am involved.   She had several students from the University of Hawaii who were interning with her at her boutique in the Ala Moana Shopping Center and they chose Community Helping Schools (CHS) as their charity group.  Valerie and her interns put on a fashion show for the benefit of CHS and the event was a tremendous success.  She and her young ladies did such a fabulous job, we asked Valerie to join our CHS Board.  Her yearly fashion show continues to be our most prosperous fundraiser.
